Dr. Lyndsay Evraire

Ph.D., C. Psych.

Dr. Lyndsay Evraire is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario. She provides psycho-educational and gifted assessments to children and adolescents, and intervention/therapy services to children, adolescents, parents, and young adults.

In her practice, she works with individuals experiencing a wide range of challenges with particular experience treating anxiety, obsessive/compulsive disorder, depression or low mood, adjustment to major life changes, and interpersonal problems, along with helping to support parents in developing their child/children’s emotion regulation skills and/or how to understand and ideally reduce challenging behaviours.

Dr. Evraire takes a warm, empathic, and non-judgemental stance in therapy and works together with her clients to ensure that their treatment goals are met. She also strives to provide optimal care to her clients by applying evidence-based practices. Dr. Evraire’s theoretical orientation draws primarily from cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), and systemic models of treatment. Aside from her primary theoretical orientations, she is always open to adapting her approach based on each client’s needs.

Dr. Evraire completed her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honours) at Queen’s University and her Masters (M.Sc.) and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degrees in Clinical Psychology from Western University. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO). Dr. Evraire’s clinical training has involved extensive work with children, adolescents, families, and young adults, at both the individual and group level, across a variety of settings including: community mental health centres, hospitals, the school board, university mental health centre, residential treatment, and private practice.
