Dr. Stéphanie Jolin

Ph.D., C. Psych. (Interim Autonomous Practice)

Dr. Stéphanie Jolin is a Registered Psychologist with the College of Psychologists of Ontario (Interim Autonomous Practice) and a member of Ordre des Psychologues du Québec. She provides services in both French and English. She offers psycho-educational, psycho-diagnostic, and gifted assessments to children and adolescents. She also provides intervention/therapy to children and adolescents suffering from a wide range of mental health difficulties.

Dr. Jolin has years of expertise working with individuals who have experienced childhood or developmental trauma, attachment disruptions (e.g., adoption/foster care), and adverse experiences (e.g., bullying, sexual assault, natural disasters, car accidents). Dr. Jolin also offers parenting interventions for behavioural and attachment difficulties and believes in the importance of involving the whole family system when supporting children/adolescents.

Dr. Jolin’s approach to therapy represents an integration of different research-informed therapeutic approaches. Her practice is grounded in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT), mindfulness, as well as experiential, systemic and interpersonal approaches. She is committed to adapt her approach to meet her clients’ unique needs and challenges in a kind and collaborative manner.

Dr. Jolin received her undergraduate degree in Psychology (Honours) and her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the University of Ottawa. She completed her pre-doctoral internship at the Centre for Psychological Services and Research at the University of Ottawa, with an external rotation at the Ottawa Centre for Resilience. Her clinical training profile also includes work in a variety of settings including hospitals, school boards, university clinics, and private practice.
